Can 14 teams play in two pools instead?

Yes. Pools of 7 and 7 play 42 games instead of 91, then the pool winners can meet in a final. Print two copies of the 7-team schedule.

How is the winner of a 14-team round robin decided?

By the standings after all 91 games: best win percentage first, so 13–0 is a perfect record, then most wins. If exactly two teams are level, their head-to-head game decides; otherwise point difference, then points scored.

What are the round 1 pairings for 14 teams?

1 vs 14, 2 vs 13, 3 vs 12, 4 vs 11, 5 vs 10, 6 vs 9 and 7 vs 8. After that, team 1 stays put and the others move one place each round, the circle method, which gives 13 rounds without a repeat.
